Raise Your Kitten To Be a Loving, Sociable CatHow I shocked my own vet: 7 months ago I adopted a kitten from the local shelter.Well, two weeks ago I took her in for a routine checkup. For most pets, this isn't considered a fun experience. She had things put in her butt, in her ears, down her throat . . . it didn't look fun at all. As I was handing the bill over to the receptionist, the vet walked up to the counter and gave me a puzzled look. He then glanced over at my cat, who was casually strolling across the top of the counter and “chirping” at the receptionist, then said “You know, I see dozens of cats every week – and very rarely do I come across a cat as laid-back and carefree as that. He even tried turning on the water in the sink and splashing her with it to make her stop purring. That didn't work.
