How To Clean Your Cat's Ears

What you'll need:

  • Ear cleaner

  • Cotton Balls

  • No Q-Tips! (also known as cottonwool buds)

 

Hold your cat's ear vertical, and pour 2-3 drops of ear cleaner into the ear canal.

 

Then massage the base of the ear for about 30-40 seconds.

Take a cotton ball (you may need to tear it in half so it's not too big) and wipe the inside of the ear.

 

Repeat for the other ear. Verbally praise your cat and give a treat.

You should never use Q-Tips (cottonwool buds) to clean your cat's ears because you can accidentally go too deep and cause injury. Cotton balls typically work better at removing dirt anyway
